Truth and Reconciliation Day
Lecture and tutorials are canceled for today (September 30th).
National Day of Truth and Reconciliation is a day to remember the history of Residential Schools in Canada as well as recognize their ongoing influence as part of the process of reconciliation. In particular, it is important to honour those who died at Residential Schools, the Survivors, their families, and communities.
As historians, we have an obligation to ensure this history is not forgotten or ignored. For more information and education, see:

Assignments
- Research Assignment Step #2 is due by midnight on Tuesday October 1st (this is not a class day but I did not want to have an assignment due on Truth and Reconciliation Day). For more information, see: Step Two: Using Encyclopedias
- Don’t forget to post your answer to the weekly question on our “Weekly Discussion Forum” on Moodle. You have until Sunday October 1st at midnight to get it done!
Tutorials this week
Regular tutorials are canceled this week as Monday is a holiday BUT there are optional tutorials on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. and Friday at 9:30 a.m. in 8-161 that anyone can attend.
Ethan and Sarah will be available during that time to help you with upcoming assignments: Research Assignment Step #3 and Short Essay Version 1.
